Hand-in-Hand
The Hand-in-Hand program "offically" runs from the New Year through June's Blue-Gold Football Game Day each year.
Delaware Tradition
The first DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game was played in 1956 - the first all-star event in the nation to support the same charity since its inception
Participation
DFRC's Blue-Gold program in Delaware's high schools reaches beyond athletes by including many other students to spread our message of respect and understanding.
Diversity
All persons with intellectual disABILITIES in Delaware benefit from our mission through improvements in community awareness and understanding.
Lifetime Memories
While the DFRC Blue-Gold experience may be short for some high school participants, the memories and learning experiences will often stay with them a lifetime.
Empowerment
Every volunteer participating in a DFRC program is empowered to make a difference every day in the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES.
2 Teams - 1 Goal
While the DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game pits Northern Delaware high schools against their rivals in the South, all share the common goal of spreading awareness and understanding.
Smiles and Hugs
The bonds between Blue-Gold Buddys and the high school participants may only be brief, but they are strong and that strength powers our mission.
Continuing Growth
Each year, all of Delaware's high schools, even those without football programs, are invited to submit students to represent that school through participation in the DFRC Blue-Gold Program.
