Cab Calloway Senior Andrew Zaldivar, lets it all hang out for DFRC Blue-Gold program, others

The Blue Rocks Welcome DFRC's Blue-Gold Football Game All*Star Buddies and High School Participants

Governor Markell Purchases His Tickets For the 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game

Jack Markell, Governor of the State of Delaware, welcomed DFRC’s Blue-Gold All*Star Buddies and High School participants to his office at Legislative Hall in Dover to purchase his tickets for the 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game.

Christopher Payne of Wilmington and Jessika Kulley of Seaford, the 2010 Blue-Gold All*Star Buddies, brought along a laptop computer and demonstrated for Governor Markell how easy it is to order tickets online for this year’s DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game.  Jessika was joined by her High School participants Justin Allen, Joe Casullo and Tori Suess, all representing Sussex Technical High School. Chris was joined by Mark Flakes and Ashley Rodick of Thomas McKean High School.

Online ticket sales for the 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game are provided by TicketLeap, and are available at www.blue-gold.org/football. Thanks to Grotto Pizza, official ticket sponsor, there are no service charges or fees for online ticket purchases. Tickets are also available now from Delaware Lions Club members statewide, B&B Tickettown in Wilmington, The Deer Park Tavern in Newark, and the McGlynn’s Pub locations in Pike Creek, Peoples Plaza and in Dover or by calling DFRC at 302.454.2730.

The 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game will be held on Saturday, June 19th at Tubby Raymond Field at University of Delaware Stadium. All proceeds benefit programs that enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disabilities through grants provided by DFRC.

DFRC Announces 2010 Blue-Gold All*Star Buddies

The DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game Committee is proud to announce that Jessika Kulley and Chris Payne have been selected as the All*Star Buddies for the 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game. These two young adults will represent their respective teams at public events leading up to the game on June 19, 2010.

Jessika KulleyJessika is 14 years old and will represent the Gold team as the Gold All*Star Buddy. She is from Seaford and attends Woodbridge High School.

Jessika has been matched with Justin Allen and Tori Suess, both Ambassadors from Sussex Tech, and football player Joe Casullo, also from Sussex Tech.

 

 

Christopher PayneChris will represent the Blue team as the Blue All*Star Buddy. He is 18 years old, and lives in Wilmington. He attends John Dickinson High School.

Chris’s participant matches are football player Mark Flakes and Cheerleader Ashley Rodick, both from Thomas McKean High School.

 

 

 

DFRC Announces 2010 Blue-Gold Player Rosters

The DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game Committee has announced the players for the 55th Annual DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game.  The DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game showcases Delaware’s finest high school students who participate as football players, cheerleaders, band members and school ambassadors. The Blue and Gold squads consist of senior players chosen from across Delaware, representing the best student athletes. The first Blue-Gold Game was played on August 25, 1956. Today more than fifty public, private, parochial, vo-tech and charter schools across the entire state are invited to participate, helping to spread DFRC’s message of diversity and acceptance throughout their schools and communities.
