Buddy Picnic
On Sunday, May 18th, 2008 the DFRC Blue-Gold All*Star Football Game Committee will again partner with the Down Syndrome Association of Delaware for our Blue-Gold Hand-in-Hand Picnic at the DSA Buddy Walk.
This event will be held at the University of Delaware’s Athletic Complex, directly in front of the football stadium on Route 896 in Newark.
All Blue-Gold Participants and Hand-In-Hand Buddies are invited to participate in the Buddy Walk. Following the Buddy Walk, there will be activities, picnic food and games for all Blue-Gold Participants and Hand-in-Hand Buddies to enjoy.
All Ambassadors, both Senior and Junior, are reminded to bring
their school banners to this event for
their Yearbook pictures.
This is also a great time to turn in any fundraising monies from events at your schools so that appropriate acknowledgements can be made in the Yearbook and at the Banquet.
At last year's picnic The Blue-Gold Buddy Bear and a friend was there (below, left) as was a drumline made up of members the 2007 Blue-Gold Band to lead one and all on the 2007 Buddy Walk.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The Blue-Gold Yearbook pictures for both Senior and Junior Ambassadors will be taken at this event.
- Ambassadors are reminded that they must bring their Blue-Gold School Banners to the picnic for Yearbook photographs as well.

- All other Blue-Gold Participants and Buddies are encouraged to wear
Blue-Gold t-shirts or your school's spirit wear. Blue-Gold clothing and
other merchandise will be available for purchase at this event.
